Thinking about what to do next?

Thinking about what to do next?

Our student advisers are here to help you make the right choices.  No need to make an appointment, just come along to our Conway Park Campus Monday – Friday 9.00am – 4.00pm and on Tuesdays during term-time 9.00am – 7.00pm.  Or visit our web site, there you will find full details of all the courses on offer to you.

In the meantime here are some options you may like to think about:

EMA LogoYou may be eligible for an Education Maintenance Allowance, EMA for short, to help you to carry on learning and get your hands on some extra cash.  If you continue to learn and develop your skills, you could receive up to £30 per week to help you out with things like books, travel and equipment.  The money the EMA could give you means you’ll be able to concentrate on enjoying your course or programme without worrying so much about money.  You’ll even get cash bonuses if you stick to it and do well.

Apprenticeships LogoApprenticeships are another option.  There are Apprenticeships for all sorts of jobs.  Whatever you’re interested in, there’s probably an Apprenticeship for you.

If you’re leaving or have already left full-time education, you’ll want to learn skills that will give you satisfaction at work.  You’ll also want to improve your prospects of finding a job in the industry you’ve chosen.  If you are in work you may want to improve your chances of promotion and a better career.  Apprenticeships allow you to do just that.

Apprentices learn on the job, building up knowledge and skills, gaining qualifications and earning money all at the same time.  You work towards National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) and other nationally recognised qualifications.  Employers all over the country recognise and value Apprenticeships as they show that you’ve been trained in the skills they need.

There’s also help with getting to college.  If you live further than 3 miles away from college and don’t qualify for a bus pass from the Local Authority, then you can get a bus pass from us HALF PRICE.

Have a look at some of the programme areas we have – we’re sure there’s a course in there for you!
