Wirral Metropolitan College has three campuses spread across the Wirral Peninsula, Click on the Campus titles above for more information on how to find each campus.

Wirral, developed as ‘The Leisure Peninsula’. is an attractive part of the North West of England and provides a mixture of picturesque rural space, some 26 miles of coastline, parklands, woodlands and several urban centres.

Providing a range of opportunities to live and study in this attractive environment, Wirral supports a population of some 330,300 people. As the ‘Leisure Peninsula’, Wirral offers a lively social scene and has an impressive and expanding range of leisure support services and facilities.

Merseytravel also provide public transport information at www.merseytravel.gov.uk and 0871 200 22 33, 8am-8pm 7 days a week – calls charged 10p per minute from land lines, mobiles may vary.

County Parking are providing a parking management service from 1 February 2010 across all main campuses. This is to ensure access, egress and safety for emergency vehicles, disabled transport, pedestrians and properly parked cars. Those parking on campus will be required to display a current parking permit. There is no student parking on Birkenhead sites between 08.30 and 15.45. Visitors will require a day pass.

By Bus

By Train

Conway Park is the nearest station and is served by trains from Merseyside and Cheshire.

By car from the M6

Leave the M6 at junction 20 and join the M56 towards Runcorn. Leave the M56 at junction 15 and join the M53 towards Ellesmere Port & Birkenhead. Leave the M53 at the third slip road exit of junction 3 to join the A552. Remain on the A552 (Borough Road) until the junction with A5029 (Exmouth Street). Turn left. Turn right at the junction with the A553 and join Conway Street. Turn left onto Europa Boulevard and the college campus is located on the right hand side.

By car from Liverpool City Centre

Travel under the river Mersey via the Kingsway Tunnel (toll). On emerging from the tunnel, take the first slip road exit for the A5027. Continue straight over the roundabout and continue on the A5027 (Duke Street). Turn left onto the A553 (Conway Street). Turn left onto Europa Boulevard and the college campus is located on the right hand side.

parking-warningParking is very limited at our Birkenhead campuses and unauthorised parking on any of our campuses will result in a fixed penalty charge. We are unable to guarantee parking for visitors to the college.

If you are visiting Conway Park Campus, Conway Park Railway Station is directly opposite the College’s main entrance and the Birkenhead Bus terminal is a short walk away. There is metered on-street parking around the campus (50p for 30mins), and a pay and display car park next to the station which currently charges £2.80 for all day parking.

Hamilton Square is the nearest station and is served by trains from Merseyside and Cheshire.

By car from the M6

Leave the M6 at junction 20 and join the M56 towards Runcorn. Leave the M6 at junction 15 and join the M53 towards Ellesmere Port & Birkenhead. Leave the M53 at the second slip road exit of junction 1 to join the A5139. Remain on the A5139, Dock Road over a roundabout. At the next roundabout turn right onto the A554 Tower Road. Turn left onto Egerton Wharf and the right onto Shore Road.

By car from Liverpool City Centre

Travel under the River Mersey via the Kingsway Tunnel (toll). On emerging from the tunnel, take the first slip road exit for the A5027. Turn left at the roundabout and continue to the traffic light junction with the A5139, Dock Road. Remain on the A5139, Dock Road over a roundabout. At the next roundabout turn right on to the A554, Tower Road. Turn left onto Egerton Wharf and the right onto Shore Road.

If you are visiting Twelve Quays Campus, the nearest Railway Station is Hamilton Square which is a short walk from the College. There is metered on-street parking around the campus. All day parking is approximately £4.

Bromborough is the nearest station and is served by trains from Merseyside and Cheshire.

By car from the M6

Leave the M6 at junction 20 and join the M56 towards Runcorn. Leave M56 at junction15 and join the M53 towards Ellesmere Port & Birkenhead. Leave the M53 at the third slip road of junction 5 to join the A41 (New Chester Road). Continue on the A41 (New Chester Road) following signs for Eastham and Bromborough. The college campus is situated on the right hand side.

By car from Liverpool City Centre

Travel under the River Mersey via the Kingsway Tunnel (toll). On emerging from the tunnel, continue onto the M53 and follow signs for Chester and Ellesmere Port. Leave the M53 at the first slip road of junction 5 to join the A41 (New Chester Road). Continue on the A41 (New Chester Road) following signs for Eastham and Bromborough. The college campus is situated on the right hand side.
