Paralympic Hopeful to Compete in British Championships after Winning 100’s of Swimming Medals.
Martin Rice, aged 19 from Claughton, Birkenhead, a special needs students at Wirral Metropolitan College, will be competing in the forthcoming British Swimming Championships in Sheffield and the British Swimming Open in Manchester.
Martin, who hopes to compete in the Paralympics, trains between 8-9 hours in the pool, including two early morning sessions. Martin is a member of the North West Disability Swimming squad and the Wirral MetroTeam that trains at Europa Pools, Birkenhead, Wirral.
Martin specialises in Freestyle Backstroke, he has literally hundreds of swimming medals.
