Childhood Education Student Wins Prestigious Good Citizen Award

Wirral Metropolitan College Student, Amie Summers, Aged 21, from Eastham Wirral, a Childhood Education student, has been awarded a Prestigious Liverpool John Moores University Good Citizen Award.

Liverpool John Moores University Good Citizen Awards are presented in nearly 1,000 schools and colleges across the North West. These awards recognise the often overlooked contributions that young people make to society today.

A Marathon Achievement

Dr Joe DelaneyCongratulations to Dr Joe Delaney, Sports Therapy lecturer, Wirral Metropolitan College, on completing the 2007 London Marathon, with a finishing time of 4:50:14.

Well done to Joe who was running in aid of our College nominated charity, Claire House Children’s Hospice. It’s not too late to add to the sponsor money already collected.

Interior Décor student bags top excellence award

City & GuildsInterior Décor student from West Kirby, Jen Stewart, has scooped a rare City & Guilds Medal for Excellence award in recognition of her exceptional work.

Jen, a student at Wirral Metropolitan College, is one of only 87 lucky people to scoop the 2006 award and pipped over 750,000 other entrants to land the City & Guilds Medal for Excellence for her outstanding performance on the Interior Decor course.

Wirral Metropolitan College Celebrates the 500th Candidate to Pass the City and Guilds 2381, IEE Wiring Regulations

Wirral Metropolitan College is pleased to announce the achievement of the 500th candidate to pass the City & Guilds 2381, IEE Wiring Regulations. The college has been running the City & Guilds 2381 Certificate, IEE Wiring Regulations since 2001. The college runs three evening courses each year, as well as bespoke and industry-tailored intensive courses.

Twenty one students sat the two hour exam at our Twelve Quays campus in March, all twenty one passed their exam, 100% achievement!
