Three Wirral Metropolitan College, NEBOSH Specialist Environmental Diploma students, recently attended the NEBOSH Graduation Ceremony held at Warwick University. Pictured from left to right John Nelson, Pauline Price and Robert Newton.
The Environmental Diploma is designed to equip health and safety practitioners with an appropriate professional level qualification to undertake responsibilities in relation to the risks of damage to the environment posed by work activities. Holders of the Environmental Diploma may use the designatory letters SpDipEM after their name.

Many colleagues and students took part in this year’s fifteen mile walk. The weather was kind, cloudy at times with a gentle breeze but most importantly – no rain. Sponsorship money is still being collected, so no news as to the total figure raised but is hoped that over £500 will be donated.
Students and staff at Wirral Metropolitan College’s Conway Park campus received free pots of herbs as part of a campaign to get people to use less salt.
