The ITQ Delivery Team at WMC

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

Extract from the City & Guilds ITQ ‘Update’ Newsletter, Issue 15; where a feature article about ITQs at Wirral Met was published.

Jackie Ling, Lynette Byrne, Jean DiamondJackie Ling, the ITQ coordinator at Wirral Met, has many strings to her bow. As well as managing the ITQ delivery team (consisting of three part time assessors, one of whom is a course lecturer as well) and coordinating all candidates, she does all the marketing, communication, and sales of ITQ, and at the same time doubles up as a lead IV for Level 3 ITQs. She is, what you might call, a one woman band!

WMC Exhibit at JISC RSC Conference

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

This year’s JISC Northwest Regional Support Centre’s Annual Conference was held in Blackpool on 29th July.

jisc_event.jpgWirral Met held a very busy exhibitor stand – sharing our Moodle (Virtual Campus) journey with anyone who wanted to stop and listen, and giving out goody bags containing copies of ‘Moodlemet‘ (the June / July issue of the college Intermet magazine), SOLSTICE information, WMC pens, etc.

We weren’t the only ‘Moodlers’ there so it was a great opportunity to share best practice and experiences with other people. There was lots of interest from other colleges and institutions, many of whom are looking to move toward Moodle for the next academic year.
