A very successful Freshers’ Fair, organised by the Students’ Union, was held at Pacific Road on Wednesday 6th September.
The event was attended by many of our students who came to see what services are available to them while at College.
Freebies, give-aways, advice and information were all available, while our Performing Arts students provided colourful entertainment.
Refreshments were expertly served by our SEL students and Hair and Beauty treatments were offered to willing models by our Level 1 students who have recently joined the College.
Jan Rankin, from Claire House Children’s Hospice, accepted a cheque on behalf of the college for £6,358.72.
This is the total amount raised during the last academic year, many thanks to everyone who contributed by organising events and supporting our students and colleagues in their efforts.
There were many events throughout the year, including childhood Studies students participating in the Claire House ‘It’s a Knockout’ competition, Joe Delaney’s London Marathon run, coffee mornings and merchandise sales – to name but a few.
Many people have commented that it was the best Freshers’ Fair Yet – a wonderful start to our new College year!
