Multi million pound investment proposed for Wirral Metropolitan College.
Wirral Metropolitan College has an opportunity to secure a multi-million pound investment to benefit the further education needs of Wirral people. To secure this opportunity for Wirral, the College has committed to create a World Class Further Education (FE) College which could open its doors as early as 2011.
Investment in the new-build Campus at 12 Quays demonstrates how state-of-the-art infrastructure has a direct impact on improving learner performance, with two of the key curriculum areas based at the new Campus awarded Centre of Vocational Excellence status (CoVE), which means they are amongst the best in the Country. In the last few years the College has made significant improvements and recast its vision ‘to be an outstanding College’.
The College now seeks to invest in its entire estate and is committed to ensuring that the new ‘World Class College’ will be designed to provide education and training that helps local people develop ‘World Class Skills’. This will contribute to the whole Wirral economy as we equip people with the skills that support current and future employers to sustain and develop their business investment in Wirral.
