The Childhood Studies department has cause to celebrate this summer as their new degree course has achieved an excellent success rate!

The first ever Childhood Studies Foundation Degree in ‘Working with Children and Families’ at Wirral Metropolitan College has achieved 100% retention and achievement.

The course is run in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University and WMC and is going from strength to strength with more students applying to undertake a degree in this vibrant subject area.

Students on the first intake of the degree course showed great commitment and determination on their two year course whilst also working in demanding job roles with children and young people.

Celebrating their success on Graduation day are some of the students with two of their lecturers, Maxine Smith and Marie Wilson.
