In possibly the most stylish way to celebrate Capital of Culture, Merseyside’s hairdressing apprentices created styles themed around the region’s culture.  They were shown on the catwalk at a Capital of Coiffure event in the Metquarter, Liverpool on the evening of the 29th October.

A new Plumbing and Gas Skills Academy (part of Wirral Met) has opened in Bromborough and is available
to offer assessments in gas, as required under the Nationally Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) – Domestic.

DATES FOR ASSESSMENTS START ON THE 29th NOVEMBER 2008

We also offer training and/or assessment in the following:

  • Water Regulations
  • Energy Efficiency (Part L)
  • Unvented (Part G3)
  • Unvented re-assessment

‘7 Waves Radio’ opens new media centre

The 23rd of October saw the official launch of the new media centre at 7 Waves Community Radio.

The media centre has two radio training studios, two broadcast studios and a live room for local bands to perform and record.

Tales on TV

In July’s issue of Intermet we reported that some of our Media students were involved in a theatrical event at St. George’s Hall performing ‘Tales, Stories from the past, technology from the present, a whole new world’!

You now have the chance to catch our students on TV! ‘Tales’ will be televised on Sky Channel 167 (Open Culture channel) every night for a week starting 20th October 8pm-9pm.
