
In possibly the most stylish way to celebrate Capital of Culture, Merseyside’s hairdressing apprentices created styles themed around the region’s culture. They were shown on the catwalk at a Capital of Coiffure event in the Metquarter, Liverpool on the evening of the 29th October.

Hosted by Natasha Hamilton, this ticket-only event featured the work of 35 apprentice hairdressers, selected from more than 1,200 across the region in a series of competitions.
Wirral Metropolitan College was strongly represented by our staff and students who put on a stunning display of their talents.
The invited guests were treated to an evening packed with entertainment. Prizes for a prize draw were donated by Wirral Metropolitan College, Scientiam and Herbert of Liverpool in aid of Cash for Kids, over four hundred pounds was raised for this worthy cause.
Every year, Cash for Kids assists in excess of 100,000 children. They aim to ensure that the money raised goes to help children facing financial, emotional and physical challenges and get the Christmas they deserve-something most of us take for granted.
