“Let’s go to the Movies”

Hairdressing, Beauty, Hospitality & Catering are hosting “Let’s go to the Movies”, an evening of Movie Star glamour. The event will be held at Pacific Road Theatre, Birkenhead on Wednesday 3rd June at 7.00pm.

Hair & Beauty students will be performing a ‘movie-themed’ catwalk show whilst Hospitality students will play host to guests dining over a special three course meal prepared by our Catering students.

Tickets are on sale from 5th May at the Hair & Beauty Reception, Conway Park Campus

Have you ever thought of studying for a degree locally? In the Arts School we have well established and successful degree courses in Fine Art and Media Studies, and for September 2009 a new degree course in Illustration with Animation. Our fees are low £2000 for full time students and £1200 for part time attendance. So if you fancy a career as an artist, designer, illustrator, animator, photographer or film maker please contact Learner Services to arrange an advisory interview.

Breakfast Meeting with Councillors

Wirral Metropolitan College’s Hospitality and Catering NVQ Level 2 students served breakfast to local councillors and a number of key business partners today (24th April 2009). This was one of the College’s routine briefings for elected members, that the Principal carries out to ensure that the local community is kept up to date with the College’s plans and progress.
