
The Skills Academy for Health is working with local Further Education colleges, to recruit young people aged 16 and over onto Cadetships commencing in September ʻ09.
What is a Cadet?
A Cadet is someone who has a genuine interest in caring for people, who is enthusiastic about a career in healthcare and hopes to work in the NHS or Social Care.
What does a Cadet do?
As a Cadet you will spend 2 or 3 days a week in college and 2 days on various placements where you will gain experience alongside NHS professionals.
What qualifications will I gain?
We are offering a 1 year NVQ level 2 in Care with key skills and technical certificate and a 2 year BTEC National Diploma (equivalent to 3 A Levels).
