Sale and Redevelopment of Carlett Park Campus, Eastham
Wirral Metropolitan College is proposing to sell its Carlett Park Campus in Eastham. The campus is scheduled for closure in September 2012. The proposals will involve redevelopment of the site for residential purposes.
All of the sale proceeds will be reinvested in the College’s Accommodation Improvement Strategy and all of the provision that is currently provided at Carlett Park will continue at the College’s existing facilities that are subject to an extensive refurbishment programme. To ensure local residents and businesses are fully aware of the scheme and have an opportunity to question both members of the College and the consultancy team, a public exhibition was held on 14th November 2011 between 12pm and 7pm in The Chapel of the Good Shepherd, Carlett Park.
Following a review of the comments generated during the public exhibition, a planning application has been submitted for consideration by Wirral Borough Council.
