*European Social Fund – to be eligible, employees must have a contract of employment, must be aged over 19 and have not achieved qualifications at level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSEs A*-C) or above. Level 3 training is available to those aged 19-24 who have not achieved qualifications at level 3.
Apprenticeship Grant for Employers for 16 to 24 year olds
If you are a business employing up to 1000 employees and interested in recruiting a young apprentice you could be eligible to receive the £1,500 grant.
AGE 16 to 24 is aimed at supporting businesses to grow by employing young people through the Apprenticeship programme. AGE provides grants to employers to support them to do this.
Apprenticeship Bursary Scheme for Advanced Apprenticeships for Children’s & Young People’s Workforce
The Bursary Scheme is a transitional measure before the introduction of Early Years Educator qualifications in 2014. The scheme will run until all bursaries have been awarded or until August 2014. There are 1000 bursaries available.
24+ Advanced Learning Loans
From 1st August 2013, if you are aged 24 or over and want to study an Access to Higher Education Diploma, a level 3 or 4 Certificate or Diploma, or an Advanced or Higher Apprenticeship, you will need to pay your college or training organisation for the cost of your course.
