We at the Student Union would like to welcome you to Wirral Metropolitan College.

Representatives of the Student Union are available to all campuses, these include Carlett Park, Conway Park, Twelve Quays, North Birkenhead and The Old School House in Wallasey.

The Student Union is a voluntary body run by students for students and we are available to help you in most things, if you have a problem that you would like help with, we are here for you. Plus we lay on entertainment for students and a multitude of activities going on throughout this next academic year at college.

Also included are Helpline telephone numbers for when you may need a little bit of help with general problems that life may throw your way.

Membership

On enrolment each student automatically becomes a member of the Wirral Metropolitan College Students’ Union unless they ‘opt out’.

However, it should be noted that students who do ‘opt out’ will not be entitled to an NUS Extra Card and all the benefits that are associated with it, and students may not be eligible for Students’ Union activities or representation, they are not allowed to join or organise any of the Students’ Union clubs and societies, nor would they be permitted to stand in an election for any union position.
