Want to get involved in Esports? Join this course to start your journey on the path to working in the dynamic and quickly evolving world of Esports. Esports is organised competitive gaming, with players competing as individuals or teams in a human versus human format. You will explore all aspects of this industry, from planning an Esports event to understanding the role of health and well-being in Esports.
The units you will study cover topics such as: Esports games, teams and tournaments; establishing an Esports organisation; Streaming for Esports; planning an Esports event; and Positive Health and Well-being in Esports. You will work with a range of teachers skilled in their own specialisms, to maximise your learning and develop the skills you need to progress. Successful applicants for this course will be passionate about Esports and keen to develop their knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the Esports industry.
Relevant Level 1 qualification or minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade 3/D or above including maths.
Satisfactory interview, assessment, school report and/or satisfactory reference.

Wifi and a Windows PC/laptop (or a commitment to work in college outside timetabled lessons to completed homework and assignment work).
Assignments — several for each unit which will be due in throughout the course.

Study programmes are full-time courses for 16-18 year olds which include:
- A qualification such as BTEC Extended Diploma
- Meaningful work experience or preparation for work
- English and maths, if you don't already have GCSE grade A*-C in English and maths (grade 4 and above)
- Non-study activities such as tutorials, voluntary work, fund-raising/charity work, sport or trips.

This study programme is free for students, who are aged 16-18 on 31 August, and students aged 19-24 with an Education, Health & Care Plan.
