An eight week introduction to basic home maintenance for women

Course Details

An introductory course for women who would like to develop their practical skills around the home. Topics we will cover are;

  • How to wallpaper a feature wall
  • Basic paint application
  • Dealing with an appliance leak e.g. washing machine, dishwasher
  • Safe use of power tools
  • Wall hangings, fixings for shelves and mirrors
  • Basic electrical safety
  • Basic central heating checks
  • Basic home security
Entry Guidelines

No formal qualifications required.

Satisfactory interview, assessment, school report and/or satisfactory reference.

If English is not your first language, you may need an assessment before enrolling on this course. To discuss further, please contact the ESOL department on 0151 551 7144.
