This qualification is intended for students who would like to prepare for a career in the plumbing and gas industry, providing an entry point and aiding progression to level 2 courses then to level 3 courses.

Course Details

You will study the following units: Introduction to health and safety in construction Removing and refitting water filled radiators Bending and jointing copper pipe Constructing combined frames Connecting pipes and fittings to appliances

Entry Guidelines
This is a Study Programme for those aged 16-18 years of age. Relevant Entry Level qualification and maths at Grade 3/D or above or 3 GCSEs including 2 GCSEs at Grade 2/E or above and maths at Grade 3/D or above. Satisfactory interview, school report and/or reference. If English is not your first language, you may need an assessment before enrolling on this course. Assessment will be completed by practical and online tests.

Additional Information

Students enrolling on a Study Programme will work towards completing every element, vocational and maths and English. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in work experience projects, either community based or with a local employer. this will give you the chance to experience the world of industry whilst promoting skills knowledge and behaviours to employer

This study programme is free for students, who are aged 16-18 on 31 August, and students aged 19-24 with an Education, Health & Care Plan.
