If you are interested in a career in the beauty therapy industry then this is the course for you. You will spend most of your week in our Beauty Salons working on models and clients. There are also elements that require you to practice your skills at home.
During the course you will be expected to attend National shows and exhibitions where you can see wholesalers and manufacturers of equipment and products. As a world skills centre of excellence we also encourage our learners to enter competitions and particiapte in shows

Throughout this qualification, learners will develop
their knowledge
To learn effectively on your course you will need to use certain items of
equipment to undertake particular activities as part of your studies. These will
be yours to keep and you will be able to use them for practice at home and in
your future career.

You will assessed in a variety of ways to ensure competence in all areas of your course. There are awarding body set assessments to inlcude exams and a graded skills assessment. You will be given homework tasks to help you prepare for the assessments.
Are you aged 16-18?
Study programmes are full-time courses for 16-18 year olds which include:
- A qualification such as BTEC Extended Diploma
- Meaningful work experience or preparation for work
- English and maths, if you don't already have GCSE grade A*-C in english and maths (grade 4 and above)

This study programme is free for students, who are aged 16-18 on 31 August, and students aged 19-24 with an Education, Health & Care Plan.
