The key purpose of both Edge Hill University and Wirral Metropolitan College Higher Education courses is to improve outcomes for our students by producing a highly skilled workforce, increasing employment opportunities, earning potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for graduate level employment. Course Details

Level 5 Modules:

  • Principles of Learning and Curriculum Design
  • Entry Guidelines
    Applicants for the University Higher Diploma are expected to have appropriate and relevant L4 qualifications (such as the first year of a Bachelor's degree) or equivalent, or significant appropriate industry experience. Applicants should:
  • have 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or equivalent as a minimum qualification, to include English.
  • They should be operating at level 2 in English and Maths.
  • They should have an A-level (or other equivalent level 3 qualification) in their teaching subject specialism.
  • Candidates may also be considered where they have industry experience with Level 3 in a subject relevant to teaching practice.
  • Applicants are expected to have English language proficiency (IELTS) minimally equivalent to overall 6.5 with no element below 6.0. Equivalent qualifications can be found on the Edge Hill University website
    Equipment Required

    Laptop and access to the internet is needed. However, the College can support trainees with IT and Digital equipment if needed.
