WHAT NEXT

Many students progress onto jobs and/or apprenticeships once they have completed their full-time study programmes. Level 3 students often progress onto Higher Education programmes such as the Higher National Certificate (HNC), or Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in Applied Chemistry, or the Foundation Degree in Chemistry or Forensic Science, which are offered at Wirral Met College working in partnership with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

Starting salaries for Forensic Scientists are £20,000 per year and experienced scientists may earn between £25,000 and £35,000 per year.
