Business Opportunities, Grants & AI Support Breakfast Briefing Event
Wirral Met College is delighted to welcome Ruth Hartnoll, the new Deputy Chair of the Liverpool City Region Business & Enterprise Board and Louis Rowland, Business Development Executive from Hartree National Centre of Digital Innovation, to talk to local employers.
Ruth Hartnoll will introduce the new Business & Enterprise Board and how it will serve the Liverpool City Region. Ruth will explain the new opportunities to engage with the Combined Authority now that a new board is being appointed, and how new relationships with employers across the region can help influence the support provided to organisations in the future.
Louis Rowland, Business Development Executive with Hartree National Centre for Digital Innovation (part of the Government’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology), will explain how AI can be used to enhance business operations, from data processing to marketing and customer profiling, forecasting and advanced manufacturing processes. He will provide details of the Government’s AI programme grants to support employers of all sizes to embrace AI to enhance efficiency and profitability.
There will also be talks from Nick Long, Curriculum Manager, and Matt Ryan, Business Development Manager at Wirral Met, whilst we're also delighted to welcome Matt Chamberlain, Vocational Development and Volunteer Services Team Lead at Wirral University Teaching Hospital, who will answer answer questions on the practical aspect of managing apprenticeships across a large organisation as well as explaining the opportunities for smaller employers to receive financial support via the Trust’s apprenticeship levy transfer scheme.
