Free apprenticeship training and assessment for small to medium sized organisations until October 2023.
Are you keen to develop your existing employees and/or do you need to recruit new employees?
Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust is offering to allocate apprenticeship levy funding to local small to medium sized employers based in Wirral* to help them take on 100 apprentices aged 19+ over 100 working days.
The Trust is working in partnership with Wirral Met College who will provide the training and assessment for a wide range of apprenticeships from accounting, business administration, HR support and management to autocare technicians, bricklayers and other construction trades, dental nurses, hair professionals and beauty therapists, sports coaches and more!
What does the apprenticeship levy pay for?
The apprenticeship levy funding will cover the cost of training and assessment for each apprentice you take on, including day release courses and off the job training, the Trainer Assessor’s visits to the workplace and time spent supporting the apprentice with their training and assessments, and the end point assessments such as exams, tests, professional discussions or observations.
Are you eligible?
In order to sign on an Apprentice, employers must confirm that they are:
A WIRRAL* BASED COMPANY
Employers must confirm that they are a Wirral* based company and be happy to pledge that they will take on an apprentice.
*for non-healthcare sectors, employers may be based within the Liverpool City Region
Able to sign an agreement
Employers must be willing to sign a pledge to agree that the ethics of their business are aligned to the Trust's values and behaviours, including the following:

- Embracing teamwork
- Committed to improvement
COMMITTED TO SUPPORT THEIR APPRENTICE
Employers must be committed to fully supporting an apprentice for the duration of their apprenticeship.
Able to provide feedback
Employers must provide regular feedback to Wirral Met on their apprentice's progress.
Please note: Employers must take responsibility for paying the wages/salary to their apprentice(s).
