Outdoor & Adventure Sport Lecturer, Stephen France, has welcomed his new colleague Adam Barratt back to Wirral Met.

Adam was a second year Outdoor Education student when Stephen became his tutor in 2007, helping him gain a place at Liverpool John Moores University studying Environment & Outdoor Education. After graduating, Adam took up a 2 year position at an activity centre in the Lake District and then went on to travel throughout Australia and finally became assistant manager of the Wainui Outdoor Centre in New Zealand.

Upon returning to the UK last year, Adam undertook his PGCE with Wirral Met and again was mentored by Stephen and is now lecturing on the very same course he passed 8 years ago!

“I am really proud to have witnessed Adam progress from student to my colleague, now I am learning skills from him!”
