Students from our Level 1 Aspiring Creative Industries Professional course have been developing their skills and gaining inspiration, at one of Europe’s finest art galleries.
Located in Port Sunlight, students visited the Lady Lever Art Gallery, taking in its fascinating collection of paintings, ceramic, and fine art.
Founded by William Hesketh Lever, and dedicated to his wife, The Lady Lever Art Gallery houses one of the UK’s finest collections of fine and decorative art.
The visit was a fantastic opportunity to students to explore century’s of art, comparing differences in techniques, time periods, and artistic styles.
Students were guided through the gallery’s varied exhibitions, including ‘Bedazzled’, the latest visiting exhibition, showcasing several highly embellished, beaded and embroidered fashion pieces from throughout the ages.
Other exhibitions visited included Wedgwood, paintings, Chinese pottery and porcelain, and classical antiques.
The trip provided great inspiration to our learners ahead of their upcoming projects.
