Prep for Life students have unveiled their art installation 'Wonderful Wirral'.
Wonderful Wirral was unveiled on Friday (1 July) at the office of Birkenhead MP, Mick Whitley MP who commissioned the piece.
The three-totem structure features ceramic pieces on the themes of countryside, seaside and industrial.
Around 100 students from our Prep for life department were involved in the project, which took about four months to create.
After unveiling the structure, Mick Whitley said: "I am absolutely over the moon to be able to unveil this wonderful art installation done by the students at Wirral Metropolitan College. It's a source of great pride the me that I was given the opportunity, earlier in the year to commission this artwork.
"I first met students Emily, Jai and Connor in February and I was pleased to be able to reveal the fruits of their labour to you today.
"Emily, Jai and Connor are here representing all of their peers, but I hope, in time, that every young person who has made a contribution to this installation will be able to come by and see what they accomplished."
