Student Support

At Wirral Met College, we appreciate there are different routes students take. We offer flexible higher education courses you can study part-time or full-time, making it possible to fit your education around your work or family commitments. 

Wirral Met College is committed to supporting all students. We offer a range of bursaries for eligible students aged 19+ studying Level 3 to Level 6:

  • Advanced Learner Loan Bursary
  • 19+ Learner Support Fund
  • Support Bursary of upto £500 per year for students with a household income below £25,000
  • Access and Progression Bursary of £500 per yearfor students with a household income between £25,001 and £42,600 and who have studied at Wirral Met College in the previous two years.

For Higher Education courses, student loans are available to most students undertaking a full-time degree, foundation degree, HND/HNC, PGCE or Certificate in Education programme. For more information about Student Loans and Grants, visit the Student Loans Company.

Smaller class sizes mean our students receive more contact time with industry experienced tutors and receive outstanding student support.
