ESOL COURSES AT WIRRAL MET
If English is not your first language, our ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses will help you with your language skills. Whether you're a beginner just starting your English journey or looking to improve your fluency, we offer a range of classes to suit your needs. During your time with us, you will cover a wide range of topics including speaking, reading and writing.
Wirral Met is a safe and welcoming place to learn. We are proud to welcome students from many countries around the globe , including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Ukraine, Vietnam and Yemen. We are also recognised as a College of Sanctuary.

Are you aged 16-18?
If you are aged 16-18, you will be in college 3 days per week and cover the following areas:
- English
- Maths
- Digital Skills
- Employability
- Taster sessions of curriculum areas
- PE sessions
- Mindfulness classes
- Residential trip
- Enrichment trips

If you are aged 19+, you will be in college 2 days per week, and cover the following areas:
- English
- Maths
- Digital Skills
- Employability
- Enrichment trips
Where are we based?
Our ESOL courses are taught at our Conway Park campus. You will have access to our facilities including library, study zone, cafe and Starbucks.
Conway Park campus is easily accessible by public transport, being in walking distance of both Conway Park train station, and Birkenhead Bus Station.
