This very practical course will provide learners with an understanding of the principles of the travel and tourism industry and allow them to explore the various avenues of work within this industry.
This study programme will provide students with the opportunity to gain a good understanding of the numerous career options within the travel industry. It is designed to ensure students learn the necessary skills and gain valuable experience which will enable them to apply for employment within the various sectors of the travel industry or progress on to a higher level qualification.
The study programme is delivered in a practical way by lecturers who have travel industry experience and can bring the subjects to life.
Learners will complete various units, including:
- Unit 1 - Customer service in travel and tourism
- Unit 2 - The UK travel and tourism
- Unit 3 - Travel and tourism destinations
- Unit 6 - Understanding package holidays
- Unit 7 - Travel agency operations
- Unit 8 - Hospitality in travel and tourism
- Unit 9 - Organising an event
- Unit 13 - Know about airports and airlines
- You will need 4 GCSE's at Grade 3 or above. One of the 4 GCSE's to be Maths or English at Grade 3 (or Functional Skill level 1) to study at this level.
- If you have a beginner/Introductory qualification in the subject you want to study and a maths or English GCSE at Grade 3 (or Functional Skill level 1) you can study at this level.
- Entry requirements for Level 2 courses in some sectors may be more specific. If you're unsure whether you meet these requirements, don't worry — we can help you find a suitable course that aligns with your skills and experience.
