Wirral Met is delighted to celebrate the success of Laing O’Rourke, a world-renowned engineering enterprise, who have achieved their target to have 50 apprentices working on the construction of the Clatterbridge Cancer Hospital project in Liverpool. 

Laing O’Rourke are committed to providing learning opportunities for young people. Working in partnership with Curtis Painting Group, Laing O’Rourke are employed a Wirral Met College student as their 50th apprentice on this state-of-the art NHS trust.

Sue Higginson, Principal of Wirral Met College commented on the apprentice placement: “Wirral Met College is delighted to be working with Curtis Painting Group to develop opportunities for our students to gain valuable work experience and we welcome their support. We look forward to seeing these students progress their careers across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.”
