Allowing you to earn whilst you learn, an Apprenticeship will provide you with valuable workplace and industry experience whilst gaining a qualification. We work with hundreds of employers apprenticeships in sectors including business, construction, digital, hospitality, healthcare and more. 


Occupational Traineeships

Not quite got the skills needed to start an apprenticeship or want to try out the career first? Join one of Occupational Traineeship programmes! Traineeships are short, flexible courses lasting between six weeks and 12 months. They are designed for 16-24 year olds who are interested in securing an apprenticeship, employment or progressing onto further study.


Access to HE: Your fast-track to University

If you want to study at university but don’t have the necessary qualifications, then you can choose a one-year Access to Higher Education Diploma. Nationally recognised and the equivalent of three A Levels, these career-specific courses are offered in an array of subjects including computing, nursing, midwifery, biomedical science, psychology, pharmacy, sociology and policing.

Wirral Met offers a wide range of degrees, higher national diplomas, higher apprenticeships and teacher training. Degrees are offered in partnership with three of the North West’s leading universities: University of Liverpool, University of Chester and University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). You'll benefit from lower tuition fees than traditional universities, outstanding support and being able to study around your commitments.
