Welcome to BSc (Hons) Psychology (2+2). We are delighted that you are considering us for your next steps. This course involves two years of full time attendance at Wirral Met College, followed by a final two years at the University of Liverpool.

This programme is a perfect option for those with an interest in Psychology, who have non-standard qualifications or those with life or work experience, which could be taken into account in their application. You will be introduced to academic Psychology through a multi-disciplinary and integrated approach, ready for progression into the second year of BSc (Hons) Psychology study at the University of Liverpool. 

The degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society and provides Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership.

Clinical Psychologist

According to Prospects, trainee Clinical Psychologists start at £35,392, whilst more experienced psychologists can earn between £50,952 and £57,349. Consultant and Head of Services roles can earn between £70,417 and £114,919. 

Counselling Psychologist

According to Prospects, Counselling Psychologists can earn a starting salary of £32,206, whilst more experienced salaries can range from £40,507 to £45,839. Those with signficant experience and responsibility can achieve salaries ranging from £65,644 to £90,387.

Occupational Psychologist

According to Prospects, starting salaries can range from £27,000 to £42,000, whilst more experienced occupational psychologists can earn between £45,000 and £55,000. At a senior level, salaries may rise to £70,000. 

Further Education Teacher

Unqualified FE Teachers could expect to earn £21,021 to £25,366, whilst a qualified FE teacher can earn between £26,090 and £39,347. Typical salaries at advanced teaching and training levels are in the region of £39,347 to £44,278. Salaries for leadership and management roles can significantly exceed this, rising to £98,222 for the most senior positions.
