Vacancy Description:
We are seeking a compassionate, friendly and motivated Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face and administrative backbone of our Cancer Rehabilitation & Wellness Hub. As the first point of contact for visitors and clients you will play a vital role in creating a warm and supportive atmosphere.
What will the apprentice be doing?
Front Desk Management:
- Greet visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls to
appropriate staff members. - Manage incoming and outgoing mail and postal packages.
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area & hub.
Client Support:
- Provide information about our services, and resources to clients
and visitors. - Assist clients with scheduling appointments and completing necessary forms.
- Offer a supportive help to individuals and families affected by
cancer. - Making health smoothies and hot drinks when requested.
Administrative Assistance:
- Assist with general administration.
- Booking of therapies and services.
- Take payments and assist clients with their subscriptions.
- Sale of merchandise and assisting with stock inventory.
Resource Management:
- Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers as necessary.
- Assist with the organisation and setup of events, workshops, and
support groups.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate and support staff members across different
departments to ensure seamless communication and
professionalism. - Contribute to team meetings and discussions with ideas for
improving processes and enhancing the client experience.

Training to be provided:
Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship standard, including:
- Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours
- Level 1/2 Functional Skills maths (if required)
- Level 1/2 Functional Skills English (if required)
- End-Point Assessment
Weekly hours: 30 hours per week, Shifts between Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Occasional Saturday work.
Annual wage:£9,984 to £17,846.40 a year
