The course will cover 2 units:
- Spoken interpretation
- Written translation
The course will give students more knowledge of the practicalities of employment as an interpreter. Students will also have the opportunity to further practise and refine their interpreting skills. Students will practise in routine role play situations and also through sight translation.
The course is open to applicants with very good knowledge of two languages and who have completed a level 2 in interpreting or have experience in interpreting.
Satisfactory interview, assessment and/or satisfactory reference.

- Diploma in Public Service Interpreting at Wirral Met
- Employment or the voluntary sector where language skills are needed
