Our Level 2 Games Design course is the perfect starting point for aspiring designers, developers, and creatives looking to break into the gaming industry.
Throughout this hands-on course, you will explore games, animation, VFX and digital art while using industry-standard software. You will learn the fundamentals of game engines, 2D and 3D asset creation, and player interaction, preparing you for further study or entry-level opportunities in the industry.

Whether you dream of designing immersive worlds or having an impact on the games industry, this course will equip you with essential skills to progress to Level 3 studies or potentially a junior role in the industry.

You will need to have 4 GCSE's at Grade 3 or above. One of the 4 GCSE's to be Maths or English at grade 3 (or Functional Skills Level 1) to study at this level.
If you have a beginner/introductory qualification in the subject, you want to study and maths or English GCSE at Grade 3 (or Functional Skill Level 1) you can study at this level.
Entry requirements for Level 2 courses in some sectors may be more specific. If you're unsure whether you meet these requirements, don't worry — we can help you find a suitable course that aligns with your skills and experience.
